John,

I had a good sleep last night for the second night in a row. I probably got about eight hours last night and I actually got up at around 10AM this morning. Remember that I said seven or eight hours was what I was getting on most nights around the time earlier this month when we saw Dr. McKibbin.v

Now, I didn’t tell you yet about fish shopping with dad on Saturday just two days ago. We kept the two swords that I told you my dad thought were going to be males and we also kept four females, we traded in the other seven which were all females. I was going to use the two $5 Fish World gift cards that you got me for my birthday to pay for what I had bought at Fish World that day (two days ago), but the guy couldn’t add the credit that I got for bringing in the seven female swords because their computer seemed to have been having a meltdown. He gave me back your two gift cards to use next time I buy something from their store because he didn’t want to fool around with the computer and try to add my credit which was worth just a little more than $10. After Fish World, we went for lunch at the McDonald's location that’s on Scott Road at 70th Avenue right outside Scottsdale Mall. I had ten piece McNuggets with honey sauce, medium fries, and a medium Sprite to drink. After lunch, we drove across the parking lot to Krispy Kremes where we got two donuts for my afternoon snack and my dad got a blueberry cake donut for himself. For myself, I got one of those “double chocolate cake” donuts that I told you my dad got last time and I tried a piece of and also a chocolate iced (or Chocolate Dip) colour sprinkle one. They didn’t have any white iced colour sprinkle ones this time and you know that those are my preference to Krispy Kremes’ chocolate iced colour sprinkle. We drove across the street to PetSmart after Krispy Kremes, and that was where I bought six platys and got the free bonus. Two of the adult platys that I got are males and the other four are females. Also at PetSmart, they had a bunch of nice female betas each on display in their own jar. Out of those, we found two nice blue ones that I picked up and we put them in my five gallon where I told you nothing had been living for a while. We put the two baby platys that we got for free in my six gallon upstairs. Remember in the E-mail I sent you on Sunday Jan.25,2009 I told you that I only had four adult platys left in one of my ten gallons, well three of those have died since then so as of two days ago I now have a total of seven platys in that tank. The only beta that I had before Saturday was the male who’s currently in my other ten gallon, I didn’t have any female betas until two days ago.

I didn’t win anything last night on my scratches that my mom got me from Shoppers Drug Mart yesterday on their way home, and my mom said that it was a good thing because they got them for free. The lady at the cash register must’ve forgot to ring them through when my mom was paying for the rest of the stuff that she bought yesterday at Shoppers.

Yesterday after you left my place, my mom told me that she remembers you said something before about Danae might be moving out. I don’t remember you telling me that. And you might’ve said something to me before but maybe I forgot about it.

Comments about stories that have been in the newspaper and on the TV news within the last two weeks:

• You asked me yesterday if I had heard about the swine flu? I said “no” at first before you told me that was the flu that’s down in Mexico right now, and then I remembered that my mom and dad said something to me the day before about how they wouldn’t want to be traveling to Mexico right now because of all the drug wars and because of the flu. I just didn’t know that the flu down there was called the “swine flu” until you asked me if I knew about it and then told me that it’s down in Mexico. And then you went on to say that Mexico might be a nice place to travel to and it’s most likely nothing’s gunna happen to you if you go down there but you never know for sure if it’s safe. I told you before that I plan to make it through my life without traveling anywhere outside the combined area of the U.S. and Canada (AKA North America),

• Larry told me when I saw him last Tuesday (on the 21st of this month) about the story that four zebras died at the Greater Vancouver Zoo in Aldergrove. They figure that they died from stress after two water buffalos had been introduced into the zebras’ enclosure shortly before the animals died. They’re assuming that what happened is that the zebras were afraid, like they would be if they saw a predator.

• Wednesday Apr.15,2009: They said at the top of the five o’clock news on this date (on the 15th) that the Lions' Gate Bridge was closed after a tree in Stanley Park caught fire. They didn’t know whether or not the tree was going to fall so they closed the highway.

• Thursday Apr.16,2009: My mom saw on the news after you left on this day (on the 16th after you left my place) that Bellis Fair Mall went bankrupt, but she thinks that someone will probably come in and save it and it will be the same as usual.

• Remember my mom said after hey got home on that same day (on Thursday the 16th) and before you left that they saw a bunch of police cars and SPCA vans at one house on 176th Street? My mom told me that they said on the Noon News that day (also on the 16th) that someone had gone to a house for something and discovered a grow-op, but we don’t know if it was the same house.

• Sunday Apr.19,2009: My mom read in the local paper that Abba Cadabra will be performing at the “Newlands Golf and Country Club.” That’s where my cousin, Janice, will be getting married this summer. And my other cousin, David, did the lighting for some of the Abba Cadabra shows before he passed away.

Points about meals and snacks for the last week:

Sunday Apr.19,2009 - evening snack: I had some of the BREYERS TRIPLE CHOCOLATE ice cream that I told you my mom got when she was at Safeway on Monday March the 2nd, and I had the ice cream in a dish with bananas.

• Wednesday Apr.22,2009: I had the gold coin and one of the chocolate eggs from the Easter surprise that you left with my evening snack on this date. I figured that the chocolate eggs in your Easter surprise might be from Purdys seeing how I recognized their wrapping.

• Saturday Apr.25,2009: I had the “double chocolate cake” donut for my afternoon snack after we got home.

• Sunday Apr.26,2009: I had the sprinkle donut for my dessert after supper.

My grandpa brought some cookies in with him yesterday that my grandma made for us. She made two different kinds, chocolate chip and the other kind has coconut in them. My mom tried one of the ones with coconuts and she thought that I would like that kind. My grandpa also told my mom and dad yesterday that Jeff and Jen are still waiting for the baby and also that they got that house they were looking at.

Remember when we got around the corner from my place just after we left to go for our walk three Sundays ago (on the 5th of this month), I pointed out the HandyDART as it was going around the corner and then you said that it’s going to my new neighbours’ house. It was going to Muriel’s house, Muriel doesn’t live with Marvin and Marjoree. Muriel lives next door to me but on the opposite side of my house. And next door on other side of Muriel was where my dad told you he saw that they were having a new furnace installed as he was pulling into the driveway one day two weeks ago (on Wednesday Apr.15,2009) when he was coming home from work.

When you saw that motorcycle parked in front of the house, you asked me if it might belong to my new neighbours. After I told my mom that you saw the motorcycle, she said that they might not rent the house out for a while because Marvin and Marjoree have work that they want to do on it first. She saw them starting to do some work there on Tuesday Apr.14,2009. One of the things that they’ve done since the 14th was paint the front door. They were testing different colours on their front door when they were trying to decide what colour they were going to actually paint it in the end. The front door’s been like that since last fall and that’s just not the way you want the front of the house to look. And my mom thought that the motorcycle might belong to one of the guys who’s been doing the work there.

I don’t know if you saw the big Budget truck parked down the street yesterday when we got back to my place. It was parked in front of the house where that cat use to live, the one that I told you lays in the middle of the road. My mom figured that the house must’ve finally sold because she saw somebody moving in last Friday (on the 24th of this month). The people who had the cat moved out a few months ago but the house was still for sale until just this month, we saw another moving van parked in front of it as we were leaving on the afternoon of Tuesday Dec.30,2008 to go to my meeting with the Bank of Montreal about setting up that “Disability Savings Plan.”

And it was weird that we didn’t notice anything at 6:30 PM last Saturday (the 18th) when Reg and Lydia’s hedge caught fire and there were fire trucks. I was sitting in the front room at exactly that time having my supper at my TV table, you think that I should’ve heard something. And my mom said that she doesn’t think Lydia’s happy with their new landscaping.

Remember once I finished my snack yesterday I said to you that we’ll play “SORRY” after I come out of the bathroom, and then you started to sing your “SORRY” song...who’s sorry now. I already knew before I even said that we’ll play “SORRY” that you would start singing your “SORRY” song as soon as I said it. Larry sang your “SORRY” song for the first time when he was here last Tuesday, but he sang it when we were playing “Connect Four.” At least he’s finally starting to learn your songs. And speaking about Larry, I guess I’ll have to tell him when I E-mail him next that I got to start your car a couple times. I never started a car before, that first time you had me start it on the day when we were at Crescent Park was the first time I had ever started a car.

And Chloe is not a he, it’s a girl’s name. Both of our cats are girls.
